Want to find out about local support groups for individuals with spinal cord injuries? Need some information about the causes and prevalence of SCI?

These answers – and many more – are available at a click on the Arizona Spinal Cord Injury Association’s Web site, www.azspinal.org.

The newly redesigned site provides information about the Association as well as information about SCI in a user-friendly format.

By selecting the “About” tab, users can learn about the history, mission and structure of the Association and get information about the programs it provides. The interactive site also allows users to join the Association, volunteer to help with its activities, or become a donor or sponsor.

The “Get Involved” tab provides users with a calendar of events that will be of interest to the SCI community as well as information about research studies that are seeking participants.

By clicking “Learn about SCI,” users can access a fact sheet about SCI as well as the answers to many Frequently Asked Questions. An extensive glossary provides definitions of terms that may be confusing to individuals with SCI and their families.

Other features of the site include an In Memorium page that pays tribute to members of the SCI community that have passed away, and an automated Feedback section, where users can provide their input on both the Web site as well as the Association’s programs and activities.
