Independent
Living Rehabilitation Services
The Independent Living Rehabilitation Services
program provides four core services: independent
living skills training, advocacy, peer support,
information and referrals. The program, which
is part of the Arizona Department of Economic
Security Rehabilitation Services Administration,
may also provide adaptive aids and devices,
counseling, skills training, and a variety
of therapies for individuals with spinal cord
injuries based on eligibility.

Arizona Long Term Care System (ALTCS), Arizona's Medicaid long term care program, assists those
who are elderly or blind, physically disabled,
or have a developmental disability and need
nursing home level care. However, program participants do not have to reside in a nursing home. Many ALTCS participants live in their own homes or an assisted living facility and receive needed in-home services.
